The Legionnaires' answer may come by month's end
The Upper East Side Legionnaires' numbers are holding where the Health Department left them — 92 cases, 79 hospitalizations, seven deaths, exposure declared ended July 31 — and the city still hasn't linked any building to the illnesses. The new development is a deadline: whole-genome sequencing comparing patient samples against samples from the cooling towers that screened positive is expected by the end of August, per NBC New York — results that could finally name a source. Separately, the towers cited in the city's compliance sweep — including 300 E 83rd St and the Caldwell at 1520 York Ave, which we covered yesterday — have since been remediated; a citation for recordkeeping or testing is not a positive test.

The landmarked Yorkville Bank building trades for $46.1M
Stockbridge Capital Group bought the 1906 Yorkville Bank building at 1511 Third Avenue at E 85th — the landmarked banking hall whose retail is leased to Gap and Equinox — from Union Investment and Nuveen for $46.1 million, per Commercial Observer and Crain's. The deal closed June 11 and hit city records June 24; it surfaced in our records sweep this week.

Capriotti's is done on Second Avenue — and in the city
The sandwich chain's shop at 1711 Second Avenue, between E 88th and 89th, has closed — Upper East Site reports both of Capriotti's Upper East Side locations have shut down as the chain exits New York City, and Yelp now lists the Yorkville shop as closed. No word on what takes the space.

Ricky Martin parts with his East End Avenue full-floor
Per CityRealty's closings roundup — echoed by Patch and 6sqft — the pop star sold his full-floor condo at 170 East End Avenue for about $6.15 million, roughly $300,000 under the last $6.45 million ask, capping years of the unit drifting on and off the market. East End Avenue keeps its habit of quietly housing famous names, then quietly letting them go.

Two fixes from yesterday's edition
Yesterday's Chipotle item initially placed the restaurant inside the Doelger Building; the Doelger is the corner building in the same 1491–1497 Third Avenue assemblage slated for demolition, while Chipotle's own address is 1497 Third. And our P.S. 158 / M.S. 177 participatory-budgeting item briefly carried the wrong Our Town link. Both were corrected on the site within hours, per our corrections policy.

The Marx Brothers were a Yorkville act first
Before vaudeville and Hollywood, the Marx Brothers — Groucho, Harpo, Chico, Gummo and Zeppo — grew up ten to an apartment in a tenement at 179 East 93rd Street, just west of Third Avenue, where the family paid $27 a month around the turn of the last century.
