Good morning. New York YIMBY says the 39-story tower on East 82nd Street is nearing completion, the elevators at 86th and Lex will take longer than promised, and Open House New York throws doors open across the city this weekend. Sunday's pumpkins, costumed dogs and the Lexington Avenue fair are still on our events page.

The 86th Street station's new elevators won't be done on the MTA's schedule
The MTA will miss its timeline for the accessibility overhaul at the 86th Street station on Lexington Avenue, the 4/5/6 stop, Upper East Site and East Side Feed report. The work, which adds three elevators, had been slated to finish in 2026; it has closed traffic lanes and shut two of the station's entrances in the meantime. The reports we saw give no new completion date. Via Upper East Site and East Side Feed.

Joe's Pizza is looking at the Upper East Side
Joe's Pizza, the Greenwich Village slice shop of more than 50 years, is exploring an Upper East Side outpost, a co-owner told Upper East Site. The report we saw names no address or timeline, so for now it's an intention, not a lease. Via Upper East Site.

Yorkville, Remembered
A wooden house from Yorkville's farm years still stands on East 85th Street
The three-story, Italianate wood-frame house at 412 East 85th Street, near First Avenue, was built around 1860, when Yorkville was still mostly farmland; its builder is unknown. In 1866 the city extended its wood-building 'fire limit' north to 86th Street. The Landmarks Preservation Commission first heard the house in 1966 and designated it on Dec. 13, 2016. It still stands, front porch intact.

If you walk 85th Street between First and York this weekend, look for the porch. Back tomorrow morning.
