Myka's frozen yogurt shop is open on Second Avenue
Myka, the Greek frozen yogurt chain, has opened its Upper East Side shop, and Upper East Site reports neighbors lined up for the debut. We reported the sign going up last week at 1547 Second Avenue, between 80th and 81st Streets. Via Upper East Site and East Side Feed.

The week in one line: SHSAT, Halloween, Marathon, Election Day
SHSAT registration closes Friday, per NYC Public Schools (check its page, since dates can change), and Asphalt Screams is Friday afternoon. Halloween is Saturday. Sunday brings the Marathon up First Avenue, the last day of early voting, and the clocks falling back. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3, and it's a remote school day. The year Gracie Mansion opened its front door to trick-or-treaters
In October 2014, Mayor Bill de Blasio and First Lady Chirlane McCray opened Gracie Mansion, at East End Avenue and 88th Street in Carl Schurz Park, for a Halloween party for young New Yorkers. Kids took a “Spooky Walk” through the house and trick-or-treated at the front door of the 1799 mansion. Yesterday's corner was the ghost; today's is the candy.
